David and Terrie left Salt Lake City with their two girls to decide where they ultimately wanted to live.  They first traveled to Portland, Oregon.  After spending a short time in Portland, they began traveling around the country to different construction jobs in order to support their family.  They traveled the country for the next three years and resided as far away south as Birmingham, Alabama, and north to Vancounver and Alberta, Canada and many places in between..
August 1, 1978

The family returned to Salt Lake City, Utah so that Tracie could begin kindergarten.  They lived in SLC from 1978 to 1981.

June 1, 1981
In 1981 the family moved to Pinedale, Wyoming where David was building the new local resort golf course.  Tracie attended third grade and Kimberlee, first.  Terrie worked at the local diner, waiting tables.  Pinedale Wyoming is notorious for it's winter conditions.  During the time spent in Wyoming the family spent nearly every weekend cross country skiing, sledding, ice skating, ice fishing, and enjoying other year round outdoor winter sports. During this time Terrie really learned to appreciate and value wild life.  It was never unusual to witness a 1000 pound Moose hovering at your front steps.  Terrie also spent valued time with her brothers and sister while in Wyoming.  Many visted for extended stays during this period of time.
July 1, 1983
From Pinedale, the family next moved to Bigfork, Montana, the gateway to Glacier National Park.  Tracie attended fifth grade and Kimberlee, third.  The family began spending a lot of time doing other outdoor recreational sports such as camping, rafting, and canoeing on the many beautiful and COLD rivers and lakes.    A favorite family memory during this time was night swimming at Loon Lake and watching the northern lights during the summer nights.  Terrie became very active in the comunity and the church during this time and spent her time helping with local charity groups and things like sub for santa for families who were less fortunate.
January 1, 1985
David had an accident and slipped several discs in his back.  The family returned to Salt Lake City to be around family support during his time of recovery.  They purchased a home in Riverton, Utah where they lived for the next year and a half.  In the fall of 1986 the family moved to Camas, Utah.  Terrie worked at the renouned Stein Erickson Lodge in Deer Valley, Utah.  She was a night auditor and would be at the lodge alone in the evenings.  She would tell of stories of ghosts that haunted the lodge.  Fires that would flare when walking by, pans banging in the kitchen, switchboard lights going crazy, etc.  That winter a lightening storm struck the swamp cooler of the family home and burned the house down.
