Anna Haverinen Interview request June 5, 2008

My condolences for your great loss. I am an anthropology student from Finland and I am studying these virtual memorial sites in my master's thesis to understand the meaning of these memorials in a larger cultural scale. I have some questions I would like to send you, if you would be so kind to answer? Please e-mail me if you are interested in helping me on this matter.

Mom of Angel Michael Grayson So Sorry for your Loss of Terrie May 20, 2007

Tonya M. Cowley Kim and Tracie February 15, 2007

I just wanted to let you know that my heart breaks for the both of you.  We will never be able to replace your mom and all the wonderful things she was to us all.  You both have so many of her qualities that she has just passed on to you and you to your kids.  Your mom was so strong and powerfull.  I believe that is one of the many things that she has passed on to you.  Reach down inside of yourselves and gather that strength just to carry you on, one day at a time.  She said that she would never leave you girls.  She might not be here in flesh but she is in spirit.  She will always be with you, even if you don't know it, she is there.  You have her address remember... :  )   You are NOT alone, I will always be here if and whenever you need me.  I love you both so much.  I only wish I could take the hurt away for you.  But its okay to hurt, cry, be angry, or whatever emotions you are going through.  Just know that I love you, and that I'm here for you.  I miss the both of you so much.  All My Love,-----Tonya

A Mother's Love is Forever

As children we can't comprehend or fully realize the meaning of our mother's love, how tender and how wise, the patience and forgiveness that are a part of every day, the unexpected "little thigs" she does in her own way.  Years go by before we can look back on life and see through older eyes and wiser hearts her love and loyalty, and yet its these and other special things we'll hold so dar, for memories of her steadfast love will keep her ever near.  May your memories of your mother's love bring you comfort and peace of heart no and through the days ahead.

You mom was a wonderful person.  You have so many wonderful memories of her.  She will always be with you, guiding you and your family.  Thank you for all you have done.

Love,

Kim, Michelle, Lance and Rachelle

Gwen (Shelley's Mom) Condolence Card February 8, 2007

Ever since Shelley and Erin gave your mom reiki and told me the wonderful experience they had with her, I've added her to my daily prayer list.  I firmly believe what I've written in this poem!

"For now wwe see in a mirror, dimly, But then . . . " (1 Corinthians 13:12a)

It's a glimpse, this life, when we

Touch a love one,

And see them smile.

When the sun shines on our day

Through the warmth of Life,

Or the wind and rain whip the trees

With th very breath of God,

Or a friend drops by bringing

A boquet of laughter.

It's a glimpse and only just.

A foretaste of the "Happily Ever After"

God has planned for us, his dear ones,

When we step into his arms

And He welcomes us home.

May God hold you close in this difficult time and know that she is at peace.  Love, prayers and warm thoughts to you and your family.

Love,

Gwen

Marilyn Monroe To the Families and Friends of Terrie Howard February 3, 2007
Terrrie was a bold and courageous woman with a great sense of humor. I will miss hearing her voice as it would rang out over the crowd during our grandson, Jordan's ball games. I will  also miss her being at the family functions especially during the holidays and other special occasions. Terrie will be missed but never forgotten.
I truly believe that Terrie is in a better place and would not trade anything to come back here, a place where we all should want to go. May Peace and comfort be with the families and friends of Terrie Howard!!

Terrie To all who loved me February 2, 2007
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Pam Hansen (Dudley) Friend and Neighbor January 23, 2007
Terry was my best friend as we grew up in White City.  I have so many fond memories of our time together as we grew up and learned about life together.  She was always so fun and had such a good heart.   I will always cherish the times we have spent together in this life.   I loved her and her family very much.  I am grateful that they have been a part of my life.  I know Terry has had her trial to bear in this life and I have always admired her for her attitude.  She always told me how much she loved her family when I spoke with her.  I had the opportunity of e-mailing and talking with Terry before she passed on.  We talked about death and when my own mother passed on.  Terry had such a positive attitude and she was ready for what was to come.  Her only wish was that she would not have to leave this life during Christmas, becasue she did not want that memory left for her family.  I am grateful that her prayers were heard.  I know that my Mom was there to put her arms around Terry and welcome her home, as she did so many times when we were little girls.  I am sure there are many loved ones that were glad to see Terry come home.    However I also know that it is hard for the loved ones left here to cope without her here.  I know that the Heaven's are open for prayer and comfort.  Through Jesus Christ, broken hearts are mended and peace replaces anxiety and sorrow.  We are promised by our Savior in the New Tesament, "I will not leave you comfortless; I will come to you." (John 14:28)  To her children know that she adored all of you and love you so much, you were the light of her life.  To her family my love and prayers are with you.  I am grateful for our association in this life.  May the Lord encircle you all and give to you his peace and comfort, and may you always feel Terry's love and spirit with you.

To the family of Terrie Howard,

I didn't have the privilege of meeting your mom, grandma, sister, and friend. I do have the privilege of a great friendship with her daughter, Kim. She raised a beautiful, funny, smart, caring daughter, an important part of her legacy. My thoughts are with you as you grieve your loss and honor her life.
